Trip Fundraising

Fundraising General Information & Guidelines
Band/Orchestra students can begin fundraising for their future high school band or orchestra trip beginning in seventh grade! GLIMB provides three ongoing fundraisers for students: (1) Kohl's Gift Cards, (2) Giant Eagle Gift Cards, and (3) Flocking. Your family, neighbors, and friends can collectively work to offset future travel expenses.  High School ensembles travel every three (3) years.
  • Fundraising accounts are set up as a family account to include every instrumental music student within a family, as long as siblings and graduation years are included on a fundraising order form.
  • If a student leaves the Instrumental Music program or graduates, unused fundraising earnings will be transferred to a younger sibling.
  • Funds are transferable to siblings only.
  • Accounts will remain active until the youngest sibling graduates or leaves the Instrumental Music program.
  • If fundraising earnings remain unused when the youngest sibling graduates or leaves the program, then earnings will transfer to the GLIMB General Trip Fund.
  • Funds may only be used for an Instrumental Music trip and may not be used for other fees.
  • A student may begin fundraising in 7th grade for a future Instrumental Music trip.
Student Travel
Students can receive credits toward their travel expense within the Instrumental Music Program from Giant Eagle and Kohl's gift card purchases. See the attached form.
Flocking
Everyone should experience the delightful surprise of Flocking: finding a flock of bright pink plastic flamingos covering their front lawn. Celebrate a special occasion - birthdays, anniversaries, graduations - or just because!  The student affiliated with the sale of a flocking event receives credit for 100% of the sale.

Flocking Insurance - Should anyone prefer not to wake up to a sea of pink flamingos in their yard, they can purchase Flocking Insurance, which will prevent such an occurrence for one (1) year.  Must be renewed annually.  Students receive 100% credit.
